Meet Jess and her Search and Rescue K-9s Kinley and Ember!

Jess entered into the professional dog training and Search and Rescue K-9 world in 2015 with her (now retired) K-9 Kinley. They started just like you! They worked with a dog trainer, starting with obedience and obtaining an AKC CGC certification. Then moved forward with their Search and Rescue training. They chose the National Search Dog Alliance as their certifying agency and obtained their Avalanche, Area Search, Area Search with Live Subject and Cadaver, and Land Human Remains Detection certifications. In 2020 Jess and Kinley welcomed Ember to the team. Ember quickly matched Kinley’s certification quiver and additionally is working on her Water Human Remains Detection certification.

Since then, Jess, Kinley, and Ember have been on many search missions and around many other working teams and trainers. They love being able to support and give back to the community and helping others. Jess became an AKC and NSDA evaluator to help others achieve their certification dreams. They have worked with handlers of all ages and K9s of many breeds from Belgian Malinois, Dutch and German shepherds, to Labs and Retrievers.

Ridge Runner K9 (Kinley’s AKC registered name) was created in 2020 to pass on what we have learned over the years. We are here to serve you, to help you and your K9 have the bond you have always dreamed of. We can’t wait to work with you!
